Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) Advisor Survey

In a new Schwab Advisor Services survey of advisors employed at independent broker dealers (IBDs) and insurance companies, more than eight out of ten (86%) say that the idea of being an independent registered investment advisor (RIA) is appealing. Advisors Services Broker Survey

A Charles Schwab survey of advisors at major financial firms has found that six out of ten respondents (59%) say the idea of being an independent investment advisor appeals to them. Nearly half of all respondents go a step further to say that they would actually consider a move to independence.
